Volunteering at school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.

Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.

You can help by:

  • listening to children read in the classroom
  • volunteering on sports days
  • helping supervise excursions
  • getting involved in fundraising activities
  • joining school committees.

Benefits of Participating

P&C activites create wonderful opportunities for parents and carers to interact with students and staff to build a respectful, strong and safe school community.

The benefits of volunteering and participating in school events and activities include:

  • Getting to know the Principal and teachers better
  • Understanding more about what happens at school
  • Sharing your skills and learning new ones
  • Setting an example to children on being part of a community

We also welcome volunteers to help out in our canteen and uniform shop.
