Connecting with us at school

In today's modern world there are many ways in which to communicate with your school and we look to use the right tool for the right purpose. See below for the communication tools we actively use to ensure you stay connected with us.

We have an official Facebook page at We use Facebook to celebrate the wonderful things that are happening in the educational life of our children in classrooms, at school and beyond. We specifically post for parents who cannot always be with us and would advise you use Facebook in your home language.

Bass Hill Public School publishes a fortnightly newsletter.  Our newsletter is an important means of communication between the school and the community. It conveys items of interest, important announcements as well as dates of forthcoming events. It also provides an outlet for children to be congratulated and acknowledged for various individual and collective achievements. You can download the latest newsletter from the front page of our website.

Class Dojo

At BHPS our teachers use Class Dojo to communicate with parents and carers in a number of ways. Teachers may upload photos and videos of students for parents to view, photos of student work, or send messages to families. Teachers may even use Class Dojo to reward students in class.

Our purpose is to ensure that you are able to stay up-to-date regarding your child's learning and activities at school. Teachers ensure that only parents are able to access Class Dojo groups and consistently monitor groups for safety.

To use Class Dojo you will need to complete a permission slip so the teacher can establish a Dojo account for your child. Download the Permission Slip here.

We highly recommend you download the free Class Dojo app (for iOS and Android) to keep up-to-date with the organisational details of the school.
