Bass Hill Public School Preschool is conveniently located within the grounds of Bass Hill Public School and is operated by the NSW Department of Education. We foster strong links with our school, to ensure our children and families feel a part of our wider school community. We value continuity in the transition to school and work collaboratively with our school to ensure children have the best possible start to formal education.
Our preschool operates from 9am to 3pm during NSW Public School terms.
The children attend in two groups over a five-day fortnight to ensure each child has universal access to high quality early childhood education, which equates to 600 hours over the course of the year. The children will attend in one designated group with the following attendance pattern:
- Preschool Blue – Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays
- Preschool Yellow – Thursday, Friday and alternating Wednesdays
A calendar showing your child’s days of attendance will be provided.
If you are interested in enrolling your child at Bass Hill Public School Preschool, please fill out the Expression of interest to enrol in a NSW public preschool form and return it to the school office with the following documentation:
- Child’s birth certificate, passport or visa documentation
- Child’s immunisation history statement
- Proof of address – two utility bills
- Health care card (if applicable)
Please note: Public preschools enrol children for one year only, the year before they start school. Children can enrol if they turn four years of age before 31 July that year and will attend school the following year.
