Connecting

Connecting with us at school

In today's modern world there are many ways in which to communicate with your school and we look to use the right tool for the right purpose. See below for the communication tools we actively use to ensure you stay connected with us.

SkoolBag
Is a mobile application for use on your mobile phone. We use this app to push our organisational information about what is happening across our school. This includes updates about school events and last minute changes, our school newsletter Tom Thumb, parent information, absentee notes and forms.

You can download the app for your phone:

  • Apple phones - visit the ITunes store at this link
  • Android phones - visit the Google Play store at this link

We highly recommend you download the app to keep up to date with the organisational details of the school.

Facebook
We have an official Facebook page at  https://www.facebook.com/BassHillPS. We use Facebook to celebrate the wonderful things that are happening in the educational life of our children in classrooms, at school and beyond. We specifically post for parents who cannot always be with us and would advise you use Facebook in your home language.

Twitter
The school also has an official Twitter account at  @BassHillPS. We use this account to keep connected with teachers and other schools to let people know of the innovative actions we take to develop our educational skills and knowledge.

Newsletter

Bass Hill Public School publishes a fortnightly newsletter called the 'Tom Thumb'.  Our newsletter is an important means of communication between the school and the community. It conveys items of interest, important announcements as well as dates of forthcoming events. It also provides an outlet for children to be congratulated and acknowledged for various individual and collective achievements. You can download the latest newsletter from our Skoolbag app or from the front page of our website.
